Job Summary – FRONT DESK MANAGER

 

The Front Desk Manager directly supervises all front office personnel and ensures proper completion of all Front Desk Associate duties.  Directs and coordinates activities including reservations, guest services and night audit while maintaining working relationships and communications with all departments.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the Front Office department

  • Supervise workload during shifts and make changes to stay within budgetary guidelines

  • Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated to other departments

  • Monitors all V.I.P.’s, special guests and requests

  • Resolves guest problems quickly, efficiently and courteously

  • Enforces all cash-handling, check-cashing and credit policies

  • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings with the front office personnel

Abilities Required

  • Hilton OnQ experience a plus!!

  • Must have the ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.  Self-starting personality with an even disposition.  Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.  Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.  Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, push or pull heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time.  Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from the General Manager.
